Borders Like Water

Borders Like Water (BLW) is an international network of healers, visionaries and thought leaders. The project reimagines the future of cross-cultural collaboration as climate change increasingly influences where and how resources, people and wildlife move through time and space. Participants re-imagine borders and binaries (race, gender, national, and otherwise) in relationship to the wisdom of waterways: participants ask "If borders have been like ice, how can they move like water?"

Borders Like Water centers ancestral wisdoms to understand how we can live in alignment with the teachings of the land and natural world.

Research and development for Borders Like Water is supported by the NALAC Catalyst for Change Racial Justice grant and a Fellowship with the Race Forward Immigrant Butterfly Lab.
